Sometimes the best stories aren’t written in boardrooms or strategy documents. They unfold naturally, shaped by people, moments, and opportunities that simply feel right. That’s exactly how Ride Revolution Scotland came to be.
We didn’t set out with a grand plan to expand north of the border. We didn’t circle Scotland on a map and say, “This is our next big move.” Instead, Scotland found us — and in the process, gave us the chance to grow into something new and exciting.
A Reputation That Traveled
Ride Revolution has always been built on word of mouth. From the beginning, our focus has been simple: give riders the best possible coaching, deliver results, and support them as people as much as athletes. That approach built a reputation in the UK cycling scene, one that started reaching further than we’d expected.
Before long, we noticed something: more and more of the riders reaching out for coaching were from Scotland. They’d heard about Ride Revolution through friends, seen our athletes at races, or followed our work online. Without any targeted marketing, our presence north of the border was quietly growing.
This wasn’t a manufactured expansion. It was a sign of trust — Scottish riders were choosing us because they believed in what we do.
The Nico Effect
Momentum really shifted when Nico Anelli joined our coaching team and race setup. Nico has deep ties to Scottish cycling and is a familiar face on the domestic racing scene. His arrival gave Ride Revolution a new connection point with the Scottish community, one that felt completely authentic.
It wasn’t just about adding another coach. It was about adding someone who already understood the nuances of Scottish racing, the roads, and the riders. Nico brought local expertise and a shared belief in the Ride Revolution philosophy. He became a bridge — not only strengthening our coaching team, but also deepening our presence in Scotland in a way that was organic and genuine.
A Community Taking Shape
With more Scottish riders on our books and Nico firmly part of the team, it soon became clear that what we had was more than a few clients. It was a community starting to form. Riders were talking about us at races. We were seeing Ride Revolution jerseys at Scottish events. Word of mouth was spreading faster than we could keep track of.
That was the moment we realised: this isn’t just a coincidence. It’s the start of something bigger.
Why Ride Revolution Scotland Made Sense
Creating Ride Revolution Scotland wasn’t about drawing a line between “us” and “them.” It was about recognising the momentum that already existed and giving it a proper platform.
Scottish riders deserved more than to feel like an outpost of Ride Revolution. They deserved a dedicated space — a branch of the brand that reflected their identity, their racing scene, and their ambitions. By formalising it, we could better serve the riders already with us, while opening the door to others who wanted to join.
The Coaching Philosophy, Localised
At its heart, Ride Revolution Scotland isn’t a different philosophy. It’s the same approach that defines everything we do: evidence-based coaching, athlete-first support, and a relentless drive to help people get better.
The difference lies in context. Coaching in Scotland brings unique challenges and opportunities — not just the terrain and conditions, but the way the racing scene is structured and the way riders balance training with life. With Nico and our growing Scottish base, we’re able to provide coaching that truly understands those realities.
It means Scottish riders don’t just get “a training plan.” They get guidance shaped by coaches who know their environment, their events, and their goals.
The Human Story
What makes Ride Revolution Scotland special isn’t just the geography. It’s the people.
It’s the rider who came to us after years of inconsistent training, and now lines up at races with new confidence.
It’s the young racer chasing ambitious goals, supported by a structure that balances high performance with wellbeing.
It’s the weekend rider who simply wanted to enjoy their cycling more — and found themselves riding further and faster than ever before.
These are the stories we want to tell. Not abstract “expansion plans,” but the journeys of real Scottish cyclists who are shaping what Ride Revolution Scotland becomes.
Looking Ahead
We don’t see Ride Revolution Scotland as a side project or a satellite office. It’s a core part of who we are now.
Already, the community is strong. Our riders are competing across the Scottish calendar. Our coaches are building relationships with local clubs and events. The Ride Revolution name is becoming part of the Scottish cycling conversation.
Looking ahead, we want to keep building on this foundation. That means:
• Supporting more riders across all levels, from grassroots to elite.
• Hosting events, workshops, and camps that bring the community together.
• Continuing to invest in local coaching expertise.
• Staying true to the values that got us here: trust, quality, and genuine care for the rider.
The story of Ride Revolution Scotland is still being written, but its foundation is clear: it’s a project born from people, not plans.
Why It Matters
In cycling, the best moves are often the ones that happen naturally. You don’t always need to force the attack — sometimes the opportunity presents itself, and you go with it.
That’s what Ride Revolution Scotland is for us. It wasn’t a calculated expansion. It was a natural evolution, sparked by riders who believed in what we do, and strengthened by people like Nico who embody our values.
Scotland didn’t just give us a new location. It gave us a second home.
Join the Journey
Ride Revolution Scotland isn’t about building a brand. It’s about building a community. If you’re a rider in Scotland — whether you’re chasing results, chasing horizons, or just chasing the simple joy of riding your bike — we’d love to ride that journey with you.
