Triathlon Coaching Scotland

In 2020, we expanded our coaching services to include triathlon coaching Scotland, thanks to the addition of experienced coaches. Starting with a handful of local triathletes looking to enhance their running and cycling performance, word quickly spread through client recommendations, and our triathlon coaching program grew from there.

In 2021, we had the privilege of partnering with Kieran Lindars, a professional long-distance triathlete. Kieran approached us for cycling-specific coaching, feeling that many triathlon coaches were not meeting the high demands of bike training. This opportunity opened our eyes to a gap in the market, and we started offering cycling-focused coaching for triathletes as part of their holistic training regimen. The results were impressive: Kieran, who was initially ranked 250th globally, skyrocketed to the top 50 and clinched the title of European Long Course Triathlon Champion.

Thanks to the success with Kieran, we continued to grow our expertise in triathlon coaching.  With Kieran’s expertise in running and swimming already established before he joined our coaching team, it was a natural step to bring him on board as a coach. Now, we’re proud to offer a complete coaching package under one roof.

Our approach to triathlon coaching is flexible and tailored to each athlete’s needs. You can choose to receive coaching in one, two, or all three disciplines. We offer the option of having a single coach to guide you through everything or a shared coach model, where a triathlete coach will handle the swim and run aspects, and a dedicated cycling coach will focus on your bike training. This flexible structure ensures that you get exactly what you need, whether you’re training for your first race or aiming for podiums.

How our Triathlon Coaching works

Step 1

Initial Consultation

From your initial enquiry with us, our Head Coach, Jake Hales will contact you and arrange a phone appointment. We like to get a good understanding of your current situation, goals, style and general cycling history. Jake will then recommend the best RideRevolution coach for your needs, all are skilled and experienced.

Step 2

Where are you at?

Your new coach will have a second, more in depth consultation and will analyse past data and training in depth as well as conducting tests to assess your current fitness level, strengths and weaknesses. This will then form a baseline to create a plan unique to your needs to maximise your potential development.

Step 3

And so it begins..

Your coach will create a personalised training plan for you, using TrainingPeaks software to set and record your sessions. After each training session, you will upload your ride data. Your coach will review your training, provide feedback and set your next block of training. All training is bespoke to each rider.

Step 4

Ongoing Development

Your coach will provide regular feedback and analysis based on your training results via phone, WhatsApp & TrainingPeaks, helping you continue to progress your goals and improve performance. Training will be constantly adjusted to suit your needs and maximise your performance for your current goals.
